Glasfaserübergabesystem

Für Neubaugebiete

G-Box

PoP station entries

As one of the leading manufacturers of cable entries for the station segment, PoP station entries are an important application in addition to substation entries. The sealing requirements in the Point of Presence segment mainly differ in terms of the media lines to be fed in. Micropipe/Speedpipe duct bundles are special combination pipe bundles which need to be fed in to the station in a particular precise combination. For this purpose, Hauff-Technik also offers the optimal solution with its HSI (Hauff Snap-In) cable entry system in a modular design.

With a nominal diameter of 150 mm, the HSI system sets standards for cable entries for installation in concrete walls flush with the formwork. Here, the wall insert HSI150 offers maximum flexibility during subsequent use and is fitted with a pressure-tight closing cover ex works. Various system seals are available for sealing microtubes.

SDF Station Entries for Points-of-Presence and Similar Stations

Distribution and network stations have transformed into multifunctional hubs. They now serve not only for local electricity distribution but also for communication lines and various other media. The ongoing expansion of the fibre optic network requires the introduction of new lines into these network stations. Hauff-Technik provides an effective solution with its SDF pass-through systems, designed to simplify and secure the entry and exit of media lines in Points of Presence (PoP) stations. This approach ensures a flexible and reliable integration of essential connections within the infrastructure.

The Concept of PoP Station Entries by Hauff-Technik

Distribution and network stations have evolved into multifunctional structures that serve various purposes. They not only facilitate local electricity distribution but also accommodate communication lines and other media. The current expansion of the fibre optic network necessitates the introduction of new lines into these stations. Hauff-Technik provides a well-designed concept for SDF station entries, making the entry and exit of media lines in Points of Presence (PoP) stations simple, flexible, and secure.

Flexibility and space-saving solutions are crucial for PoP stations, which often require the capability for retrofitting media lines. Hauff-Technik offers two suitable concepts: the HSI150 system and the SDF station entry. These solutions comprehensively address all requirements in this area.

The HSI series sealing packs are embedded underground, directing media lines vertically out of the PoP station. The SDF station entry features an integrated safety lid that is only installed just before cable occupancy. The system is fully sealed from the factory, allowing for installation in distribution stations without the need for subsequent sealing efforts. Styrofoam bodies are included for adjusting to the wall thickness of the station, preventing cement from leaking into the system during the pouring process.

The SDF station entry utilize a frame plug-in system that serves dual functions. It ensures the precise positioning of the packages, especially when creating cable entries on-site, and prevents water from entering the shaft or PoP station due to its geometric design.

The safety lids of the SDF station entry secure the interior with annular space seals. An external connection system for cable protection pipes is available, compatible with the system lids from the HSI series. This connection system is also present in the sealing packs of Hauff-Technik.

This system allows for segmented entry of individual media lines. System lids are available for one, three, or seven media lines. Hauff-Technik provides suitable entry systems for various media lines, enabling the entry and exit of control and signal cables, as well as low-voltage, standard network power, and fibre optic cables into network and distribution stations.

Hauff-Technik’s SDF Station Entries Facilitate Fibre Optic and Power Grid Expansion

Network operators are currently tackling two significant infrastructure expansion tasks: laying fibre optic cables and upgrading local power grids. As more households install electric vehicle charging stations, robust power lines with sufficient capacity are necessary. This often necessitates the installation of new supply lines to residences.

Both the expansion of the fibre optic network and the installation of electrical cables involve routing these media from the distribution point to individual homes. Consequently, new power and fibre optic cables must be introduced into network stations, where they are then buried underground, leading directly to the fibre optic house connection or to the electrical supply entry point for buildings. Hauff-Technik’s station entries are ideally equipped to handle these tasks efficiently.

Temporary Power Connection for Construction Sites

Distribution stations are frequently used to provide temporary electricity for nearby construction sites. When no designated interfaces exist for connecting external cables, construction power connections are often improvised through open doors, which is unsafe. Unauthorized individuals and animals can easily gain access to the distribution station, creating potential hazards.

In contrast, the SDF station entries allows for a quick and secure connection. This is facilitated by a specialized bayonet connection, ensuring a reliable setup. After the temporary power connection is removed, the SDF station entries can be sealed on both sides with a screw cap. These caps from Hauff-Technik can only be opened with a special key, ensuring that the distribution stations remain well-protected against unauthorized access. With Hauff-Technik's station entries, a temporary power connection for construction sites can be established safely and efficiently.

Additional Benefits of Hauff-Technik's SDF Station Entries

Hauff-Technik’s SDF station entry are designed with practicality in mind, making the retrofitting of media lines considerably easier. The innovative segmented design allows multiple media lines to be routed through a single conduit, which is especially beneficial when installing fibre optic connections, as numerous cables can be accommodated through one entry point.

Additionally, the SDF station entry effectively prevent the intrusion of rodents and other pests, which can cause significant damage, including short circuits and power outages. The factory-sealed interfaces are gas and water-tight, ensuring that water cannot infiltrate the stations. This design also protects the surrounding environment from potential hazards, such as oil leaks, in the event of a transformer failure. In summary, Hauff-Technik’s SDF station entry provide a reliable and efficient solution for managing media lines, enhancing safety and operational efficiency in various applications.
